April Prather, Administrative Assistant

April Prather, administrative assistant, provides support to our pastors and staff, committees, and ministry groups. Her duties include preparing mailings, the monthly newsletter and printed materials for worship services, and assisting daily visitors and callers.

Previous to joining the First Church staff, April devoted her time to being a full-time mom to three active boys. Prior to that, she was a clerk/typist for the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania, and the office manager for a wholesale book distributor.

April came on staff in 2007, and has been a member of First Church since 2005.

A native of New York State, April is a graduate of Friendship Central School in Friendship, New York. She also attended Bob Jones University in South Carolina for one year, where she studied art.

April is the mother of a pre-teen son and closely involved in the lives of two teenage stepsons.
