How to obtain my Safe Sanctuaries Clearance Forms

Obtaining the Safe Sanctuaries clearance forms required by First Church in order to work with children and youth is a several step process.

Step 1: The State Police Clearance
Can be done on-line. Go to www.psp.state.pa.us
Click on “How To”
Select “Obtain a Criminal History Record
Select on line option
Select “Submit a New Record Check”
Follow prompts from there
There will be a certificate button. The certificate is what you will want to print and send to Child Line.

Step 2: Once you receive the certificate a copy is sent with the Pennsylvania Child Abuse history clearance form. At this point, that must be mailed in with a money order. Money orders can be obtained at Giant, gas stations, Wal-mart, ask at the service desks. The original clearances will be owned by you and the church accepts copies.
