First Church invites you to join with thousands of other churches across our nation to participate in the National Day of Prayer on Thursday, May 2.
Each year on the first Thursday in May, our nation pauses to observe a National Day of Prayer. On that day, we have an opportunity to emphasize the importance of prayer as a testimony to who God is, what we believe, and the fact that our nation was founded upon the truths of God’s Word.
First Church invites the public to join us at the flagpole at noon for brief community prayer. Representative Sheryl Delozier (R-Cumberland) will once again be joining us in prayer. The theme and focus this year is Love One Another (John 13:34). Together let’s exercise one of our most precious freedoms… the right to gather, turn to God and pray. If you cannot attend at this time, we encourage you to pray from your home or place of work. Find the 2019 Prayer Guide here: https://nationaldayofprayer.org/prayer-guide.
