Spiritual Formation Gathering

First Church will hold a spiritual formation gathering, based on the Gospel of Luke, this Advent season. A spiritual formation gathering is based on the principle of meeting with no other goal than to be in the presence of God by praying the Scriptures. Participants are encouraged to experience God’s presence through reading, meditation, prayer and contemplation. Specifically, the group will focus on the following Scriptures. Christmas Service of Hope and Remembrance

First Church will hold a Christmas Service of Hope and Remembrance on Sunday, Dec. 3, 2017, at 7 p.m. in the church sanctuary. This is a special worship service for those who have lost loved ones or will not be with family this Christmas. All are welcome. A Night in Bethlehem

Did you ever wonder what it was like the night Jesus was born? If so, come and experience the sights, sounds and tastes of Bethlehem on Sunday, December 10 in the multipurpose room. Cookie Walk

Love Christmas cookies but don’t enjoy baking them? Attend the Cookie Walk at First Church on Saturday, Dec. 16, 2017, from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m., sponsored by the Youth Group. Attendees can fill a large or small container with a variety of homemade holiday cookies. Boxes will be provided. Proceeds benefit youth mission projects. Marketplace of Miracles Shopping Event

The United Methodist Women (UMW) of First Church will host the Marketplace of Miracles on Saturday, Dec. 16, 2017, open from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. This is a shopping event like no other!
