First Church is offering “The Holy Spirit Unleashed in You,” a men’s Bible study by Precept Ministries based on the book of Acts. Little Friends Craft Fair

The Little Friends Preschool of First Church will hold its Annual Vendor and Craft Fair on Saturday, March 7, from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. in the Multipurpose Room. First Church is pleased to support Isaiah 61 Ministries, a local organization that serves the needs of the homeless in Dauphin County. They provide a variety of services including a soup kitchen, clothing bank and Life groups. Specifically, First Church members help serve meals to the homeless in downtown Harrisburg on the third Wednesday of each month at 6:30 p.m. A carpool leaves from First Church at 6:00 p.m. for those who are interested. Join us on Saturday, March 21 for a Ham Loaf Dinner at First Church. Ham loaf, a central Pennsylvania tradition, is a mixture of fresh pork, smoked ham and other ingredients, served with a tangy, sweet sauce. Rejoicing Spirits

First Church will hold a Rejoicing Spirits worship service at 4:00 p.m. All are welcome! The service is specially designed and adapted for individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities, and their families. An informal atmosphere, brief messages, and lots of music and fellowship opportunities. Rejoicing Spirits is held on the fourth Sunday of each month.

Passion Play

Come experience the passion and power of the Easter story. First Church will put on its annual Passion Play on Wednesday, April 8 at 6:30 p.m. in the church sanctuary. The Passion Play re-enacts the events of Holy Week, beginning with Jesus’ entry into Jerusalem and concluding with his crucifixion and resurrection. MOPS Meeting

First Church kicks off a new year of MOPS (Mothers of Preschoolers) on Friday, Sept. 27. All moms of young children are invited to come and connect with our community of women who meet to laugh, support each other and embrace the journey together. MOPS meetings include fellowship time over a light breakfast, valuable teachings, small group discussion and Christian devotions. Fun outings/play-dates, creative projects and/or service opportunities are also organized for those who are interested in connecting in between…

Rejoicing Spirits

First Church will hold a Rejoicing Spirits worship service at 4:00 p.m. All are welcome! The service is specially designed and adapted for individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities, and their families. An informal atmosphere, brief messages, and lots of music and fellowship opportunities. Rejoicing Spirits is held on the fourth Sunday of each month.

Joy in the Morning

If you struggle with on-going health challenges, First Church invites you to join us for a new, spiritually-grounded support group beginning in January, Joy in the Morning. Based on the book, With the Dawn Rejoicing, a Christian Perspective on Pain and Suffering, the group will focus on sharing and encouraging one another to live with greater hope and peace while navigating health issues. Isaiah 61 Ministry

First Church is pleased to support Isaiah 61 Ministries, a local organization that serves the needs of the homeless in Dauphin County. They provide a variety of services including a soup kitchen, clothing bank and Life groups. Specifically, First Church members help serve meals to the homeless in downtown Harrisburg on the third Wednesday of each month at 6:30 p.m. A carpool leaves from First Church at 6:00 p.m. for those who are interested. Food Trucks

First Church is pleased to announce that the Third Friday Food Trucks will be returning in 2020! Join us on the following Fridays: April 17, May 15, June 19, July 17, August 21, September 18 and October 16 from 4:30 to 8 p.m. in the church parking lot.
