It takes grit to follow Jesus and “run with perseverance the race that is set before us” (Hebrews 12:1).
Grit is something that we all need these days. Grit is passion and perseverance. Enemies of grit are fear, drift, trials, indifference.
The pastors of First Church will present the sermon series, “Grit: Endure. Persevere. Thrive” during the month of October. In this series, we will hear the stories of women of faith who had a “never say quit” kind of grit in the face of difficult circumstances. Their stories encourage us as we endure, persevere, and thrive as followers of Jesus today.
All are welcome and encouraged to attend! First Church offers Sunday worship services at 8:30 and 11:00 a.m., following recommended COVID-19 protocols for the safety of all who attend. The 8:30 service can be viewed through livestream, and a video of the service can be accessed on the church’s website for those who prefer to worship at home.
