First Church is pleased to announce that the Third Friday Food Trucks will be returning in 2020! Join us on the following Fridays: May 15, June 19, July 17, August 21, September 18 and October 16 from 4:30 to 8 p.m. in the church parking lot. Isaiah 61 Ministry

First Church is pleased to support Isaiah 61 Ministries, a local organization that serves the needs of the homeless in Dauphin County. They provide a variety of services including a soup kitchen, clothing bank and Life groups. Specifically, First Church members help serve meals to the homeless in downtown Harrisburg on the third Wednesday of each month at 6:30 p.m. A carpool leaves from First Church at 6:00 p.m. for those who are interested. MOPS Meeting

First Church kicks off a new year of MOPS (Mothers of Preschoolers) on Friday, Sept. 27. All moms of young children are invited to come and connect with our community of women who meet to laugh, support each other and embrace the journey together. First Church will observe Holy Communion on Sunday, June 14. Please join us for worship and communion on our website at fumchurch.com on Sunday morning. First Church is joining with other area congregations to collect personal care items and food to help local families in need. The personal care collection will take place on Wednesdays from 10 a.m. to noon in the parking lot of First Church, 135 W. Simpson St., Mechanicsburg through June 24th. The items will be donated to Mission Central in Mechanicsburg. Requested items include laundry detergent, hand towels, feminine hygiene products, band aids, toothpaste, liquid concentrate household cleaner, travel size shampoo,…

Handbell Choir Chicken Barbeque

The First Church Bell Choirs will host a chicken barbecue fund raiser in the church parking lot on Saturday, Oct. 10 from 11 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. or until sold out. Each meal includes a ½ chicken, baked potato, applesauce and roll for $10. New this year, you can pick up the meal by drive through! First Church will host a health lecture on Choosing to Eat a Gluten-free Diet on Tuesday, Nov.10, 2020 at 7:00 p.m. via Zoom conferencing.
